
History
of the team: Corey and Ron had a funny
car rolling chassis sitting in a shed for 20 years and were approached by some
members of the local funny var club to get the car going. In 2007, with the help
of Kincaid Racing the brothers got NHRA and IHRA licenses and shared driving one
car "TO MUCH FUN".For the 2009 season they purchased a second

Drag
Racing general history: Ron grew up on a farm in Drayton
Valley............... lots of work, Auctioneering
became a huge passion, he tried a few rodeo's, became
involved in MANY different business ventures and making anything with a motor
go faster! Ron, along with the hot rod club, brought the first drag race to Drayton
shutting down a new major secondary Hwy.
Ron campaigned a 10sec Chevy II along with many other cars.

Ron's highlights include some serious wheeling in the 10
sec Chevy II and winning two funny car events in 2009.
Current
racing plans: To have a consistent successful season in 2010 and win
some races.
Any racing future goals: To become one of the predominant racing
teams as a whole package.
Heroes
of the sport: Ron says the real heroes to us are our families and crew
( who are now our family) who do so much to allow us to be "KIDS" again.
In 1980 Ron Sekura started racing
a '78 Chevy, with a 427 under the hood. A tunnel ram, dual carb & nitrous
on street slicks in Alta.
1984-90 Pro Bracket racing starting in a '66 Chevy
w/a 454. Tunnel Ram dual carb & nitrous with big slicks and running 10 sec.

1991-92 Ron continued racing another '67 Chevy, owned by Phil Ferguson
of Red Deer. Ron, and his his brother Corey, bought a Trans Am funny car in the
early 90's and brought it out four years ago. Today there is another car in the
racing stable, a 69 Camaro.
Early 80's
raced a 78 chevy pick-up - dual tunnel ram and nitrous with slicks - fast but
a little HEAVY
Mid 80's to
early 90's raced 10 second- chevy II's BIG burnouts , BIG wheelies , BIG smiles
- faster , but not there yet
1985
- Ron along with Pro Street Auto Club debuted the first organized Drag Race in
Drayton Valley
1990 - attended
the Seattle Nationals and witnessed #2 - #3 - and #4 TOP FUEL teams break into
and back-up " 4 second runs "
2001
- One of Ron's fondest memories is racing brother Corey in stock cars at Rapidfire
Motorsports Park - Neither gave an inch -
